3D-PRINTED MODEL / COLLECTION

SBX-1

A detailed 1:500 scale model of the Sea-Based X-Band Radar, printed to order, assembled by hand, and carefully inspected to create a lasting tribute to this distinctive feat of maritime engineering.

THE STORY BEHIND THE MODEL

Begun during the COVID pandemic, SBX-1 grew through more than seven years of research, design, and refinement. The model reached completion during America’s 250th birthday and was created for former crew, program supporters, collectors, engineers, and maritime enthusiasts.

05 / HISTORY & SIMULATION

CIVILWARSIM

Another time.
Another perspective.

Most reenactments rely on a scripted moment—or on each participant deciding for themselves—before someone takes a hit. CivilWarSim is being built to replace that certainty with the tension and thrill of a live, responsive battle.

When the opposing force fires, the simulation weighs each reenactor’s position, range, movement, and available cover to determine who is hit. The choice is no longer yours; the battlefield and your enemy decide.

Reenactors join through an Android app while event managers define the battlefield, configure the simulation, and follow the action from a live map.

CivilWarSim is still under active development. The current prototype is being tested and refined.
